RA38 Under Cabinet Hood

We are very satisfied with this unit. This replaced an over the range microwave that bit the dust. This looks so much better! It has a very sleek attractive design, which was what we were looking for. This cabinet is 15” deep and most hoods are only made for a 12” cabinet. This Kobe unit was a perfect fit for our application. Great suction and surprisingly quiet even when running in high speed. The only negative I will say is that I did not like how it mounted. With that being said, I drilled holes in the top of the hood and bolted it to the underside of the cabinet. In my opinion, mounting it this way is much more secure. It takes a bit of precise measuring, but it’s well worth it. We hope this hood lasts for years to come.

Installation was a little tricky, but we really like the quietness and volume of air it moves.

This is an excellent product with more than 700 CFM without taking up a lot of space. I moved into a smaller home, which had a living room dining room combination with an open kitchen. I wanted a lot of suction power to make sure the smoke and food smells stayed out of the rest of the house. Most of the hoods that I looked at were 6-7 inches thick, resulting in a lower clearance, this product is just under 3 inches because the motor housing is above. It was a bit of a tight fit inside the cabinet, but it worked and gave me more space so I wasn’t constantly bumping my head or leaning over the stove or ducking under the hood. It also has a nice rounded front on it so no sharpe edged corners to smash your head against. Great suction power, very noisy at the highest setting, but that’s to be expected. I’ve had it for over a month no issues.

Looks good in our renovated kitchen and is powerful!
